Movement
I draw on my experience as a yoga teacher and craniosacral therapist, combined with my love of dance and movement, knowledge and continued study of fascia anatomy, contemporary movement theory, and psychology, to help people feel well in their body and mind.
This practice is NOT about aspiring to a certain look, shape, or ideal body type. It IS about cultivating a felt sense in your body, which overtime grows into a trusted guide so you can fine tune a practice that really works for you.
You’ll learn to recognise your natural constraints, movement biases, and postural habits. And through movement and interoceptive (felt sense) practices, feed your sensory system new patterns and possibilities, all of which will cultivate:
👉🏽mind-body awareness
👉🏽ease and glide
👉🏽tissue elasticity
👉🏽core support
👉🏽strength, stability, mobility
👉🏽agility
👉🏽healthy posture
👉🏽range of motion
👉🏽energy
👉🏽movement patterns that refine and restore body organisation
👉🏽efficient force transmission
👉🏽A felt sense of your structure as a tensional, sensory, multi-dimensional, body-wide-web
Classes are rooted in the spirit of inquiry and curiosity. They are playful and explorative, and softly structured around yoga forms, developmental movement patterns, interoceptive practices, and contemporary movement theory.
You are welcome to join whatever your experience of yoga or other movement practices.
